The Official Charity of the DCBank Open

The Salvation Army is an international Christian organization that began its work in the city of Victoria in 1897.  As one of the largest direct-providers of social services outside of the government, its programs and services feed, clothe and shelter individuals and families in need every day, while helping others escape violence and addiction.  Beyond helping with the basic necessities of life, The Salvation Army is transformational through its life-changing programs such as substance abuse recovery, housing supports, jobs and skills training, budgeting and education classes – all of which help people find a way out of poverty permanently. Youth and children partake in summer camps, back to school backpack programs and receive gifts at Christmas, which all provide hope and a helping hand for families struggling to make ends meet.  The practical, kind and compassionate face of The Salvation Army continues to be a beacon of hope strengthening the community we all share.
